A unique insight into hydro and wind power projects in West Harris will be one of the fascinating events of Scotland’s first Community Land Week.

West Harris Trust will be hosting a guided visit to their renewables projects on Tuesday August 14th.

The visit includes a visit to the 100kW hydro scheme and 100kW Xant wind turbine.

After the tour attendees will return to Talla na Mara for a tour of the building, a brief talk on the aims, objectives and achievements of the Trust and hot drinks.

Those who would like to take part are asked to meet at the Gleann Dudhlinn hydro scheme, signposted from the main road north of Seilebost, at 11am.

Community Land Week is organised by the Scottish Government Community Land Team and Community Land Scotland and runs from Saturday August 11th to Sunday August 19th.

Community groups from all over Scotland will be hosting events which will allow the public to see more of what happens on community owned land.
