Stornoway police are calling for information after an apparent attempt to break into the Marybank Depository last week.

Some time between July 31stand August 7thdamage was caused to a number of external doors at the distinctive building on Marybank, with external metalwork around locks and a doorbell forcibly removed.

The incident is being treated as vandalism, with further information sought by police.

The depository is used for storage by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.
