Scalafest, the end-of-season bash at the Scaladale centre due to be held tomorrow (Friday 31 August) has been postponed.

The Scaladale Centre said: "Our sympathy goes out to everyone attending the funeral tomorrow.

"We are postponing our celebration to a more suitable date.

"We will let everyone know as soon as a new plan has been made."
