A scheme to train up communities to use life saving equipment is holding a workshop in Stornoway next week.

Skye based Scottish charity Lucky2BHere will hold the heart defibrillator training session at Sandwick Community Centre on September 27th between 7.15 and 9.30pm.

All ages are encouraged to attend.

Lucky2BHere, set up by heart attack survivor Ross Cowie, strives to place defibrillators and deliver emergency life support training to communities throughout Scotland in return for a donation that will cover costs.

These communities can take any form -  from sports clubs, rural villages, churches, businesses and many more. Irrespective of size each each one receives the same high level of service.  Applications are always welcomed.

Book your place on the course by Tuesday 26th September by contacting 01851 703325 or contact  the charity direct via their website www.lucky2bhere.org
