We are recruiting for a Technical and Purchasing Manager.

 

Job Description

This is a full-time post and the Technical and Purchasing Manager will be required to work 39 hours per week from our premises in Stornoway.

Duties will include assuming responsibility for company purchasing requirements, quality management procedures and the technical aspects of food safety.

Skills/Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality management
  • Knowledge of the baking industry
  • Good organisational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Able to build ongoing working relationships with members of the management team and staff
  • Able to build relationships out with the company
  • Able to cope well under pressure

Desirable

  • Quality management experience
  • Experience in a management position
  • Purchasing experience
  • Knowledge of SALSA requirements
