At the board meeting of Hebridean Housing Partnership on Wednesday 14th February 2018 the rent increase for houses and garages was set at 3.9% (Nov RPI) for 2018/19. The Board reached this decision after considering the results of the recent consultation process with tenants.
Norman Macleod, who chairs HHP, said “We recognise we are living in very challenging economic times, and any increase for tenants is unwelcome.
"The increase is required so enable us to carry out the investment programme in our homes to ensure that every home delivers a high standard of energy efficiency which should contribute to reducing the current high energy costs.
The Board will be meeting on 21 March 2018 to review the detailed budgets for investment and development.
Board meetings are open to general public and are held at Glean Seileach Business Park and start at 5:30pm.
