The Tesco Bingo Fundraiser proved a popular event

Over £2,000 was raised for the families of Laura McIntyre and the late Eilidh MacLeod, of Barra, at a Bingo Fundraiser organised by Stornoway’s Tesco store.
Held on Friday, June 23rd, at the Cabarfeidh Hotel in Stornoway, the bingo and raffle night raised funds to help the both families following the tragic aftermath of the bombing at Manchester Arena last month.
Commenting on the Stornoway Tesco Facebook page, organisers said: “Fantastic night at the Bingo fundraiser. The generosity from everyone has been overwhelming, we raised just over £2,000: amazing.”

They added: “We have so many people to say thank you to that made the event go ahead. To everyone that came along, it was a great turn out. Big thank you to the Cabarfeidh Hotel for giving us the venue and also to Robert Macaulay, our fab Caller for the night.”
Also thanked were a number of local businesses that were ‘more than happy’ to donate prizes to the fundraising event.
