When Murdo Sam Macleod decided he wanted to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland Lewis & Harris he didn't hesitate to go all out and do an absolute whopper of a physical challenge.
Murdo chose to run not one, not two but FIVE half marathons to raise money for a charity he is a big supporter of.
When we spoke to him to find out why he had chosen Alzheimer Scotland, Murdo told us, "I started volunteering at the Solas day care centre last December and I've really enjoyed myself and realised what a worthwhile cause Alzheimer Scotland is. I wanted to do a bit of running this year so it felt like it was the perfect opportunity."
Murdo has already completed the Stornoway and Benbecula half marathons and will be running Skye on 10th June, Barra on 1st July and finishing his challenge with the Harris Half Marathon on Saturday 8th July.
A group of supporters from the local branch of Alzheimer Scotland are hoping to get along to cheer him across the finish line and they hope that any of you who are there will cheer him on too!
