The festive season is coming early to Artizan on Church Street, Stornoway, which is running a Black Friday shopping event this week - they are offering 20% off the prices of everything in the gift shop upstairs.
And they are staying open late on Friday (November 25th) …until 8pm.
At the same time, they have launched their new festive menu including Gingerbread Latte – a smooth gingerbread syrup latte topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce with a gingerbread man on the side; Terry’s Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate - Hot Chocolate Orange, whipped cream, caramel sauce and a slice of Terry’s chocolate orange; or there’s Cinnamon Cappuccino - Cinnamon infused cappuccino served with a gingerbread snap.
All this comes almost exactly a year after the café, art, jewellery and gift shop first opened.
More than two years went into the development and planning of the cafe/bar, which took over from the former Christina's Gems shop, and which also presents a large range of jewellery, gifts and local artworks.
The sturdy tables in the comfy, open cafe/bar area downstairs were individually made from reclaimed timber sourced from outlets across Scotland, and the bar was created locally by Specialist Welding Services, made specifically to Artizan's design.
There have been innovations throughout the year with the most recent being the Artizan swipe card which is both a loyalty card and a pre-paid gift card - and is available to both new and existing customers, giving them a saving of ten per cent on every purchase which can be put towards future spending at Artizan, either in the jewellery and gift section or for more coffees, lunches, cakes, and snacks.
Shop owner Alison Cunningham believes the Artizan loyalty and pre-paid gift card is an ideal gift for young and old which encourages people to have a browse at the Christmas stock upstairs in the Gift Shop. “Having visited the main Trade Shows in Scotland and beyond we have secured some fabulous small Scottish suppliers who have given us a bespoke collection that are exclusive to Artizan. We also have exclusivity on some large well-known brands.”
