Pupils at Back School enjoyed a visit from Ann and Peter

The pupils of Back School had an assembly with a difference on Friday (November 4th) when Anti-Litter campaigners Peter Lyons and Ann Palmer brought their Western Isles Children's Humorous Photographic Competition to the school.

Grabbing the youngsters' attention with their brightly coloured jingle-jangle Jester outfits, Ann and Peter explained the problems caused by discarded rubbish and encouraged pupils to get creative and enter the 2016 competition – with a total of 18 prizes up for grabs.

Open to all island children, to enter you must take a photo on the Anti-Litter theme and think up a funny caption to go alongside the snap.

Keep Scotland Beautiful have agreed to judge the competition and judges will be looking for a humorously captioned picture with you, and a piece of little found on a little-pick; or with your pet and a piece of little they found – time to get your imagination going and your thinking caps on.

To enter, email your captioned photo (in JPEG format) to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.with 'Photographic Competition' in the subject box.
