The damaged Transocean Winner oil rig could be positioned on to the rescue vessel Hawk by midnight tonight, if all goes according to plan.
Weather conditions in Broad Bay have been favourable for the latest attempt, which began on Tuesday.
If this attempt fails, the salvage team will have to use another vessel for moving the rig, as the Hawk is due to begin on another pre-scheduled contract elsewhere on Monday.
Transocean have earmarked another vessel similar to the Hawk, in Holland, but this will not be available for use here until mid-to-end October.
