The sign posted in the HebCelt shop window says it all - a nearly sold out festival

Time – and tickets – are running out for revellers who wish to attend the Hebridean Celtic Festival's 21st music extravaganza.

Kicking off on Wednesday night (July 13th) with Hebridean Women in An Lanntair, ticket sales for the 2016 festival have hit an all-time high – with Thursday night at the main arena in Lews Castle Green being the only tickets now left available.

Speaking of the record sales, Festival director Caroline Maclennan said last week: “We are extremely pleased with the ticket sales this year.

“This is easily our best performance ever, with big spikes firstly when we announced Runrig and put weekend tickets on sale back in November, and then when we released day tickets.

“Since then sales have remained very healthy and we are heading for a sell-out across most events.”

And a sell-out HebCelt looks set to be complete as all An lanntair events, Friday and Saturday Festival Club, full weekend main arena, and Friday and Saturday main arena tickets have already been snapped up.

There are still tickets available for Thursday night main arena with performances from Orphan Colours, Hazey Janes, Urban Teuchtars and Thursday headliners Hayseed Dixie.
