Running until 2pm this afternoon, Friday, May 27th, is the Hebridean Housing Partnership Annual Tenant event, being held in Stornoway Town Hall.
All HHP residents have been invited and HHP staff are on hand to respond to queries.
The event also offers residents the opportunity to find out more about other services available, with local partner representatives from: Advocacy, the Comhairle, Western Isles Foyer, Tighean Innse Gall, FES, JobCentre Plus, Cothrom, Eilean Siar Foodbank, the Scottish Fire and Rescue service, AMC Renewables, Homelessness services, Nessglaze, Hebrides Alpha and Health Promotions.
“It's a good event and great to have so many services represented today,” said Comhairle Councillor Charlie Nicolson.
“It's important to work with our residents for the good of our community and housing of our islands.”
The HHP focus of the event is on energy efficiency and the social landlords launch their new tariff switching service for HHP tenants today.
“We're working with a company called Citrus Energy to help tenants bring their bills down,” said HHP Administrative Assistance Dez Cross.
“Citrus take a look at all tenants bills and see if savings can be made through switching tariffs or what the best deal is for them.”
Dez added: “The Annual Tenants event has been very well received in previous years, and this year we've had other services representatives ask to come to the event. It's not just an HHP event, there are lots of other services here as well, and it gives tenants the opportunity to know where to go if they do need any help.”
