Volunteers and staff at Bethesda Hospice Charity Shop did something a little special for the Queen's 90th birthday, and decorated their window to mark the momentous occasion - they even wrote to the Queen herself to let her know that people in Stornoway are celebrating with her.

Volunteers Janet and Agnes came up with the idea, Catherine, the manager, told welovestornoway.com.

And the decorating of the window was all down to the "fantastic" volunteers at Bethesda charity shop, who put it all together, with helpful donations from friends, including the donation of the cake from Karina's Cakes.

Bethesda's Chrissie Macrae (AKA Dodo) went that step further, sending the Queen a birthday card and a couple of photographs of the window display, "she even used a first class stamp!" Catherine told us.
