Luxuries, essential items, gifts and homeware are all on offer at a fundraising auction planned for Saturday March 23rd at Sgoil an Rubha in Point.

The Sgoil an Rubha parent council have planned the event to raise funds for activities they organise and support – including classroom resources, school trips, parties and outings.

Local businesses have been more than generous, with items to bid for suiting every budget.

At the luxury end of the scale there are lots including a two-night stay in a five-star holiday home, and a side of smoked salmon, while practical services on offer include a man-with-a-van for a day, an MOT, or help with a self-assessment tax return.

Opening bids at the auction will be taken at 1.30pm, with Marisa Macdonald hosting the event in her inimitable style.

Tea, coffee and home baking are also on offer, for an afternoon that should prove both entertaining and profitable for all concerned!
