A pensioner who reversed over former Stornoway minister Rev Tom Sinclair, killing him instantly, has been tagged and banned from driving for four years.

Kelman Edwards (78) will also have a curfew enforced, meaning he will not be able to leave his home at night for the next six months.

Rev Sinclair, who was 76, was in Edinburgh at the Church of Scotland General Assembly when the accident happened on May 19 last year.

Previously the minister at Martin's Memorial, where he served for 28 years, he was clerk to the Presbytery of Lewis until his tragic death.
