Ships in the harbour at Stornoway today (Thursday May 9th) include the five-star German-flagged Hanseatic Nature at pier no 3, making Stornoway one of her first calls on her maiden season – she was officially launched only this month.

Alongside pier no 1 is the French-flagged luxury yacht Le Champlain, almost as newly built – her launch was last summer.

A third visitor vessel is the regular visitor Astoria, moored in the outer anchorage, beyond Arnish.

Just inshore of Arnish is the Northern Lighthouse Board vessel Pole Star inside which arrived yesterday from Stromness. Meanwhile the Coastguard tug Ievoli Black is moored off Swordale, again since yesterday.
