The new route for a 10k run to challenge supporters of the Leanne Fund has been published today (Monday April 22nd).

Saturday June 1st marks the 10th anniversary of the popular and well-attended Point 5k, so the charity has upped the pace by adding a 10k race as well. The aim is for a full-blooded speed race over the 10k distance, so no walkers are allowed and the race is open to adults (over 16) only.

The new route, pictured below, starts alongside the traditional 5k family race at Sgoil an Rubha and heads along the main road down to Knock, where it takes a loop before heading back towards Bayble, with the famous steep hill set as a tricky downhill section before the relief of the home straight back to the school.

Entry forms to register for both distances can be found at http://www.theleannefund.co.uk/point-5k10k-2019.html and should be returned, together with the registration fee detailed, to the Leanne Fund at their office at 36 Point Street, Stornoway, HS1 2XF.
