A number of incidents of vandalism over the weekend have left Stornoway police calling for help from the public.

At 11.50pm on Friday (April 19th) police received a call from a householder on Portrona Drive, where a window had been smashed at the front of a house. Anyone who saw the incident or who knows anything about it is asked to call the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number NH495/19.

The number 101 should also be used if anyone has any information about vandalism to a car and garden in Lower Bayble in Point, where between 6pm on Friday 19th and 10am on Saturday 20th April a silver Peugeot car had a nearside door panel dented. The householder also reported damage to plants in the garden nearby. The incident number is NH496/19.

And on Sunday 21st April someone was reported to have damaged a VW Golf car parked on Rigs Road, around 1pm. Police ask anyone with knowledge of how this happened to call 101 quoting the incident number NH500/19.
