Thursday night (November 29th) sees the first of two late-evening chances to see what shops on the West and North of Lewis have to offer in the run-up to Christmas.

And the outlets involved are pulling out all the stops.

Joining the Christmas cheers, there’s antiques and curios shop Sea In Design, in Ballantrushal – describing itself as “an eclectic mix of antique and vintage, furniture, silver, maritime, nautical, Harris Tweed, Hebridean and Scottish…”

Also all sparkly and ready to go for Christmas shopping are Borgh Pottery,  Buth Lisa, Comunn Eachdraidh Nis gift shop, Cross Post Office, Cross Stores and Sallie Avis.

All will be open until 9pm and say: “Look forward to seeing you all.”

And If you miss this and you can't make it during normal opening hours, the second North Lewis late night shopping event is on Thursday 6th December.

Sea in Design say: “Lots of items in stock suitable for Christmas presents. We pack and post items worldwide every week. We also have gift vouchers. New stock arriving daily.”

Sallie Avis says: “It’s that time of year again. I'll be opening at 6pm on thursday looking forward to it as it’s always such a good event to be part of.

But she adds she no longer has a card machine so it would be cash or cheque only or Paypal.
