Anyone wishing to record an official comment on the wind farm plans being brought forward by the four crofting townships is asked to submit their views before December 27.
Public opinion is being sought as widely as possible as part of the PAC process – pre-application consultation – which is a mandatory step for projects like this before planning applications go in.
The request for comments is part of a continuation of the consultation event held in Stornoway Town Hall in November, where members of the public were given feedback forms on the plans.
They were asked to state whether they supported the projects, objected, or were neutral, and invited to comment. All feedback will be collated into a report to be submitted along with the planning applications. People can make their views known until the 27th.
Postal requests for a questionnaire should go to Aquatera, Old Academy Business Park, Stromness, Orkney Islands, UK, KW18 3AW.
