At 1320 today (Tuesday) Stornoway Coastguard requested the assistance of Leverburgh RNLI Lifeboat with an incident in the Hoebeg area of North Uist.
The Lifeboat was launched in Force 9/Storm Force 10 conditions and made best speed towards the area.
At approximately 1410 hours, whilst the Lifeboat was en route, the incident was resolved by the Coastguard Mobile/Helicopter teams, who were also on scene.
The volunteer RNLI crew were stood down, returned to base, and the Lifeboat was ready for service again by 1500.
