Pupils and staff at Sir E Scott School would like to thank Parent Council members and parents from the wider parent forum for organisng the recent successful Burns Supper held in the school’s performance area on Friday 22nd January.
We had a good turnout on the night, with approximately 88 people (adults and children) sitting down to a delicious meal.
We are indebted to the group of Parent Council members who helped to organise the event – Valerie Murray (lead coordinator), Mairi MacIver, Agnes Morrison and Pauline Macleod; to Bill Scott, Diane Lightbody and Russell Tennant who prepared the meal; the parents who helped on the night ( Kate Langley, Joan Macleod, Shona Morrison, Rhoda Campbell, Margo Macleod and Marion Maclean); to all pupils involved in serving and in providing entertainment; to Iain MacIver who played various roles throughout the afternoon and evening - in setting up the sound system, managing it on the evening, overseeing and providing musical entertainment, Linda Wood for her annual address; to Mary C Martin (Office), Nina Mackinnon and FES janitors for their help; to John G Mitchell, Angus & Kirsty McKellar for their speeches; to Claire Wilson and her young dancers for the lovely dance routine and of course finally to all parents, grandparents, staff and community members for their significant support in making this annual event a worthwhile venture once again, helping to raise the excellent sum of £784 for School Funds.
Mòran taing dhuibh uile!
