A confidential 24-hour telephone helpline service has been set up to help pupils and staff of The Nicolson Institute following the passing of S4 pupil Anton Michael.
Anyone affected by the Anton’s passing is urged to contact the helpline on 01851 705600 for support.
Support is also being offered with two counsellors now based within the school until the end of term and available to pupils and staff.

Paying tribute to the 15 year old pupil who tragically died on Tuesday (December 12th) afternoon, Nicolson Rector Frances Murray said: “Anton was a lovely young man who was well regarded by staff and pupils and made a very positive contribution to the school.
“We appreciated the support by the emergency services,” she continued. “They did all they could but unfortunately could not save Anton’s life.”
“This is a tragic incident. His death is affecting the entire school community. Our thoughts at this time are with Anton’s parents, family and friends.”
Christmas events, including the school concert and year-group socials, have been postponed until next year as a mark of respect.
