- There are people with services and ideas to offer.
- There are people who need them.
- There are great ideas in one area - but maybe no one has thought of that in another area.
Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn have brought together volunteers to co-ordinate the setting up of Whatsapp groups for each village on the estate. The Whatsapp groups will allow residents to stay in touch, offer support, seek support and generally stay connected. Volunteers are visiting and calling homes to gather phone numbers.
If no one has reached your house yet and you would like to be added to the Whatsapp group for your village, please message 07469 189449 and specify your name and village. We understand that many people do not have a mobile phone or Whatsapp, however, those that can seek to ensure they are included in communications.
The group is for everyone from your village, so please be mindful of not posting lots of details. Just ask for help and someone in the group will get in touch for the specifics of your request. This is basically just neighbours wanting to help each other out and spread a little kindness during a challenging time. This is not a service to replace emergency services or other support services, but as a community we want you to know that someone will be around to help with some of the smaller things. Staying connected is critical and we all just want to spread a little kindness and to let you know you matter!
Payment options: Pay over the phone when you place your order or pay on collection using contactless.
Payments and order collection will be from the gable end window of the former schoolhouse. A member of staff will be waiting for you when you come to collect your order. A reminder that our telephone number is 810 377. We will also accept orders through Messenger.
