Loganair has reacted to the weather forecast for tomorrow (Saturday January 11) in Barra by offering free rebooking to other flights.

Gales with gusts of more than 60mph are forecast for tonight, and for Monday afternoon.

Loganair says: "In view of the high winds forecast and potential for travel disruption, we are offering customers travelling on flights to and from Barra and Tiree the opportunity to adjust travel plans without charge.

"If you are booked to travel on 11th January, you can choose to re-book on an alternative flight between now and Saturday 18th January. There will be no change fee or difference in fare payable - if there is a seat available on an earlier or later flight, you can transfer your booking to that flight without charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

The easiest way to change your flight is to access https://www.loganair.co.uk/managemybooking/ If you cannot find a suitable alternative there, please call on 0344 800 2855 with your booking reference handy and we’ll do our best to help.

If you choose to remain with your original travel plans, please rest assured that we will do everything that we safely can to fly you to your intended destination as close to the scheduled time as possible. Please Note, if you are already checked-in, you will be required to contact our call centre to change, on 0344 800 2855.
