Stornoway police are looking for a cyclist who was involved in an altercation with a driver in Stornoway on Wednesday evening (August 21st).

They have made the appeal after a car driver reported an assault in Perceval Square shortly after 7.25pm.

Police would like to hear from any witnesses to the incident, or the cyclist themselves, in order to establish what happened.

The cyclist is described as male, with a local accent, riding a road bike and wearing cycling clothing. He is believed to have reached the town centre via the Pentland Road.

Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to contact Police on the non-emergency number, 101, quoting incident number NH 1152/19.
