An event involving “Concerned Christians Meeting for Prayer” has taken place again in Stornoway and a further such event is now planned.

On Friday August 16th a number of Christians came together for the second such meeting in the APC church in Keith Street, Stornoway.

Rev Kenneth M Macdonald of the Scalpay Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) said later: “The focus once again was the great spiritual need of our nation, and islands especially, in a time of declension and much opposition to Biblical morality.

“Yet the meeting, led by Rev Paul Murray, was characterised by the confidence that God is sovereignly ruling and ultimately will have the glory.

“While there is always sadness at the proliferation of denominations, nevertheless to have concerned people of a like-mind, including the Church of Scotland, Associated Presbyterian Church, Reformed Presbyterian Church, Free Church and the Free Church Continuing taking part, was a great encouragement and a blessing to all who attended.”

The next meeting is planned to be on Friday November 8th at the same venue, to which all are most warmly welcomed.
