On Friday August 9th Scottish Salmon Company staff presented the Western Isles Islands Games Association with £1500 raised during the Lewis Carnival food and drink festival on Saturday August 3rd which was sponsored by the company.
The presentation took place at Marybank, Stornoway, which is one of the company’s two major processing plants and which employs more than 75 full-time staff.
Stornoway is a key location for SSC’s business since half of their production is processed in the Marybank facilities. It was staff from the plant who played a major role in the ‘salmon-in-a-bun’ stall and barbecue at the food festival, with all the proceeds going to WIIGA, which has benefitted from SSC sponsorship over the last five years.

And from next Monday (August 12th) the company's flagship restaurant at Harris & Lewis Smokehouse on Sandwick Road, Stornoway, is open six nights a week for the first time.
