This years Stramash Festival has moved location - but not far!

The two-day music festival on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th August will now be held at the Old Willowglen Pitch by The Hub.

The organisers announced via their Facebook page: 'On the advice of the Stornoway Trust, this year's Festival is moving location slightly, but not to worry, it’s only a few extra steps further up the road.

Stramash will now be held within the Willowglen section of the castle grounds and on the green that is commonly known locally as the ‘old Willowglen Pitch’, directly behind 'the Hub.'

Please note that the Hub car park will only be available to customers of the Hub and will not be available for festival parking. Should you require accessible parking or access to the event, please get in touch with our team in advance.'

Stramash is free entry across the entire weekend and no tickets are required for the events, however donations towards Macaulay College are welcomed.

With the phenomenon of Peatle mania, the Stramash team have also said: 'Given some of the early interest shown in attending the events this year, we would strongly recommend that you arrive early to avoid disappointment as the festival has a limited marquee capacity.'
