A two-car collision on the Clisham left two visitors to the island in hospital yesterday afternoon (Wednesday June 27th).
Emergency services were called to the A859 just south of the Clisham summit at 5pm, where the two cars had been involved in an accident. One vehicle, with a man and woman from Skye travelling in it, left the road and rolled down a steep embankment, coming to rest on its roof.
Police and ambulance crews attended and a man and woman were taken by Scottish ambulance to Western Isles Hospital, where they were kept overnight for observation of non-serious injuries.
The man and woman in the other car were not injured and later left the scene. The visitors’ car is expected to be recovered later today. Police said enquiries are ongoing as to the cause of the accident.
