The following planning applications are pending consideration by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.
Continuation of art installation on South Beach
Stornoway Port Authority has applied for planning permission to continue the siting of the art installation which involves illuminated timber posts representing the outline of the HMY Iolaire and its two masts, on South Beach.
Alteration and extension of house in Balallan
David Black of 54a Balallan, Lochs, has applied for building permission to alter and extend the property at 54a Balallan. The plan is to re-roof the house and build dormer windows on the North-facing side, then an extension will be added to the South-facing side of the house.
New build in Tong
Mr and Mrs Kenneth Macleod of 1 Milkinghill Park, Tong, have applied for planning permission to build a bungalow at 56 Tong. The house is to consist of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an open plan kitchen/family/dining room, and a separate lounge. The plan also includes the building of a separate garage, and aparking area suitable for two cars.
Installations of telecommunications apparatus in North Shawbost
Openreach has applied for planning permission to install telecommunications apparatus at 53 North Shawbost.
New build in Broker
Mr Calum Macleod of 3a Broker, Point, has applied for planning permission to build a bungalow at 3a Broker. The plan includes a new vehicle access to the public road, and the addition of parking suitable for two cars. The house is to consist of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen dining area and a lounge.
