In youth league football, Kevin Macmillan was awarded the Willie Reid cup on Saturday night (September 1st) for his services to junior football.
The presentation followed a season of late school nights, washing football strips every week and constant support for young footballers from the sidelines.
Meanwhile there are just four matches left in the senior island football season, with two league matches due to be played tomorrow evening (Monday September 3rd) between Ness and Westside at Fivepenny, and between Aths and Lochs at Goathill Park.
Back play Ness at Coll on Wednesday (September 5th). The league cup winners by a good margin are Point, who celebrated their win with a convincing 4-nil result against Aths on August 24th.
Lochs lined up a third trophy in their silver cabinet on Saturday (September 1st) when they won the Lewis Moldova Cup after a well-contested final against Carloway, final score 1-2.
They put the trophy alongside the ABC cup won back in May and the Co-Op cup won on penalties in a tense final against Westside in August. Lochs also have a chance to add number four in the Eilean Fhraoich cup final next Saturday (September 8th) against Westside at Fivepenny, Ness.
