The tall ship Lady of Avenel is providing a fine sight in Castlebay this week, offering short trips out from the village during her short stay en route between St Kilda and Mallaig.
She’s taking a final morning cruise out tomorrow morning (Tuesday July 2nd) before setting off on a West Skye exploration.
Lady of Avenel is a 102ft Brigantine square rigged ship, with 12 guest berths offering adventure sailing cruises around Scotland, Ireland and England. She’s owned and run by Jim Dines and skipper Stefan Fritz and has, for the past week, been hosted by Barra-based Clearwater Paddling on a sea kayaking expedition to St Kilda.
She’ll be back in Castlebay for a further tall ship adventure to St Kilda between July 28th and August 3rd.
