On Tuesday 21st August 18 Stephen Palmer, Visual Arts Officer, Creative Scotland, will introduce the Visual Artist and Craft Maker Awards scheme and will also speak about Creative Scotland and its funding more generally.

At An Lanntair, Jordane Symington: Islewear will give a talk about the benefits of her 2017 VACMA grant to her jewellery practice. At Taigh Chearsabhagh, Louise Cook: Shoreline Stoneware will speak about the impact of her VACMA grants in 2011 and 2015 on her creative development as a ceramicist. Each of the presentations will be followed by a series of 1-2-1 10min pre-booked advice sessions with Stephen Palmer, targeted particularly at individuals considering applying for funding to VACMA but also covering other Creative Scotland funding for Visual Artists/Craft Makers.
